The PermaSafe Antimicrobial Air Filter Treatment also suppresses HVAC system and air duct odors, helps prevent their return, and further elevates IAQ, by controlling and inhibiting the growth of odor causing bacteria, mold, mildew, fungi, algae and other microorganisms. And it’s equally effective on filter grilles, housings, and related return air components.
Like all PermaSafe HVAC products, our Antimicrobial Air Filter Treatment is rated “Category IV” for toxicity by the EPA, the very lowest toxicity rating any antimicrobial product can achieve, and one that means no gloves or other personal protection equipment are necessary when applying it, no rinsing is required after it’s applied, and no Precautionary Statements or Hazard Warnings are required on its labels. It’s also colorless, odorless, non-abrasive, non-corrosive, non-flammable, harmless to HVAC System components, and it doesn’t wash or wear off with normal system operation or maintenance.
