Our Mold Elimination and Prevention Treatment is comprised of two proven, highly effective, mold elimination and prevention products that combine to provide one powerful solution.
STEP-1 is a ready-to-use, multi-surface, Tuberculocidal, Disinfectant Cleaner and Mold, Mildew and Fungi Remover. Like all PermaSafe Antimicrobial HVAC Products STEP-1 is EPA Registered for effective Antimicrobial Control, including eliminating and inhibiting the re-growth of mold, mildew, fungi and other microorganisms, in all types of HVAC systems, air ducts and related components , in residential, commercial, institutional and industrial buildings.
The successful remediation of mold, mildew and other microbial growth in HVAC Systems and Air Ducts, starts with a product that destroys these microorganisms at their roots, even in difficult to access places, and prevents their return. And STEP-1 does exactly that … and more.
STEP-1 eliminates mold, mildew and fungi on a molecular level, neutralizing spores and inhibiting growth, all without damaging treated surfaces. And, unlike bleach and other mold removal products that are only effective on non-porous surfaces, STEP-1 is also effective against molds, mildew and other microbes on hard and soft, porous surfaces, such as pipe and ductwork insulation, gaskets and seals, concrete condenser pads, drywall, wood and more.
In addition, STEP-1 goes well beyond eliminating mold and mildew. It also kills a broad spectrum of harmful bacteria and viruses, removes odors and allergens, including those associated with mold-prone or water-damaged areas, and even kills ants in HVAC Systems and Ductwork.
After all mold, mildew and related contamination has been removed from an HVAC System and Ductwork, and all of the surfaces have been cleaned and disinfected with STEP-1, they’re ready for an application of STEP-2.
STEP-2 is a long-lasting, highly durable, water and weather-proof antimicrobial coating which, upon application, creates an invisible antimicrobial barrier on HVAC System Component and Ductwork surfaces that continuously inhibits the growth of microorganisms, including bacteria, mold, mildew, fungi and algae, for up to 3 months.
Multi-functional STEP-2 also effectively prevents microbiologically induced corrosion, and reduces related surface deterioration and decay, while its persistent antimicrobial properties continuously control microbial odors and prevent their return by inhibiting the growth of odor causing microorganisms.
Like STEP-1, STEP-2 is safe, effective, and EPA registered for effective Antimicrobial Control, including eliminating, and inhibiting the re-growth of mold, mildew, fungi, algae, other microorganisms, as well as related odors, in all types of HVAC systems, air ducts and related components .
Colorless, odorless, non-abrasive, non-corrosive and non-flammable STEP-2 also won’t harm any HVAC System components, and won’t wash or wear off treated surfaces during normal system operation, cleaning or maintenance. And, a single application lasts and remains antimicrobially effective, helping to ensure treated HVAC Systems, Air Ducts and related components remain bacteria, mold, mildew, fungi, algae and odor free for up to 3 months.
