Our System & Air Duct Hygiene and Antimicrobial Maintenance Kit includes and utilizes two of our most advanced products which, when used as part of a comprehensive preventative maintenance program, helps ensure that treated HVAC systems and ductwork function in the manner they were designed to, remain free from odor-causing bacteria, mold, fungi, and other microbial growth and contamination, and continue in that condition.
This formidable combination not only offers vital antimicrobial protection, but does so for up to 3 months, while also enhancing Indoor Air Quality, reducing energy costs, and extending system life.
STEP-1 is a ready-to-use, multi-purpose, multi-surface, broad-spectrum, tuberculocidal, hospital disinfectant; heavy duty germicidal cleaner; and mold, mildew, fungi, allergen and odor eliminator, which, according to the CDC, might just also be the "Ideal Disinfectant Cleaner.”
STEP-1 cleans, disinfects and deodorizes hard, nonporous surfaces … all in 1-step, and with no rinsing or wiping necessary … it a serious labor saver, and the ideal solution for HVAC System and ductwork sanitation, antimicrobial control, Indoor Air Quality and more.
STEP-2 is a uniquely durable Microbiostatic Coating that provides persistent, long-lasting antimicrobial protection. Water-proof, weather-proof, colorless, odorless, and all HVAC System Safe, STEP-2 creates an invisible, microbiostatic barrier on surfaces that inhibits the growth of microorganisms and helps prevent the growth and spread of bacteria. STEP-2 also prevents microbiologically induced corrosion, reduces related surface deterioration, and controls and prevents the return of microbial odors at their source. It also lasts and remains antimicrobially effective for up to 3 months, and does it all without the use of any harmful or hazardous chemicals.
Like all PermaSafe HVAC Products, both STEP-1 and STEP-2 are rated “Category IV” for toxicity by the EPA, the very lowest toxicity rating any antimicrobial products can be awarded, and one that equates to: “Virtually Non-Toxic and Not an Irritant.” It also means no gloves, or any other personal protection equipment are necessary when applying these products, no rinsing is required after they are applied, even on food contact surfaces, and no Precautionary Statements or Hazard Warnings are required on their labels.
Both STEP-1 and STEP-2 are also EPA registered for effective Antimicrobial Control, including eliminating, and/or inhibiting the future growth of bacteria, mold, mildew, fungi and other odor, stain and damage causing organisms, in all types of HVAC Systems, Air Ducts and related Components, in residential, commercial, institutional and industrial buildings.
